Topic: More than conquerors are we over the spirit of anti-Christ in this end time.
Texts: 1 John 4:2-5.
EXPOSITION:
It is pertinent and necessary to have a prior understanding of what the spirit of Anti-Christ is or what the spirit represents before we can pray against the spirit.
Let’s see as this is addressed in 1 John 4:3 “…every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Anti-Christ which you have heard was coming and is now already in the world”. Summarily, any spirit that denies Jesus’ identity as the son of God is basically the spirit of the Anti-Christ.
The Anit-Christ spirit is perpetually in opposition to what Jesus stands for. The spirit rebels against Jesus and work against those who identify with Him, wagging wars, tormenting, causing persecution and generally making life difficult for them; his mission and intent being to frustrate, demoralise and cause them to deny Christ, and renounce their faith.
By the theme this prayer program, our status as ‘more than conquerors’ and our ceaseless prayers, we shall prevail against this spirit; the spirit shall be rendered powerless over us in the name of Jesus.
Dear all, now that we know what this evil spirit stands for and his mission against Jesus and we as His followers, we need to be vigilant, be sensitive and take heed of the scripture in 1 John 4:1 where we are admonished as the beloved of Christ not to “…believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world”.
