Topic: Lift up your heads O you gates; King of glory join, and journey with us.
Text: Psalm 24:7-10.
EXPOSITION:
There’s a saying like this: ‘never give the devil a ride because before you know it, he will push you off the driving seat and take over’. You can imagine where the car driven by the devil will end eventually!
This saying is totally different and far wide apart from the experience you will have when God, the King of Glory, joins and journeys with you. The trip will not only be a save one but such that will be pleasurable, filled with joy and peace; it will be one that will end in good success with enduring good memories.
The 40 days prayer and fasting exercise that we have embarked on is a journey, a long one for that matter! But having God’s presence with us on the journey will make a huge difference – no stress, no incident of any sort, but rather, it will be spiritually energising, refreshing, and rewarding. We believe today’s prayer will make this possible by the grace of God.
The writer of Psalm 16 says in verse 11, “In Your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” During these 40 days journey, we will be in the presence of the Lord, seeking His face. May God help us to do with whole-heartedness.
The Bible says, where two or three gather in the name of the Lord, His presence is in that gathering. Diabolic gates erected to hinder the presence of the King of glory in this spiritual journey are pulled down and destroyed; whatever will prevent us from experiencing and enjoying the manifest presence of the King of glory and the attending blessings are paralysed in the name of Jesus. Amen.
God bless you. SHALOM.
