”The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.“ (John‬ ‭10‬:‭10‬).

It’s less than two full days to bid year 2023 bye bye forever. So shall it be bye bye forever concerning unpleasant and unwanted things in our lives in the name Jesus.

According to the scripture above, when the devil who is the chief thief comes, his mission is not limited to stealing but to kill and to utterly destroy. May we not fall as his victims.

To be shortchanged is to be treated unfairly by being given less than one deserves; it is to cut short ones desired and deserved possessions. The devil is a master in the art of shortchanging people. Believe it or not, he will still shortchange many who are ignorant of his devices even within the short time remaining this year. But you and I will not be in this list. Rather the abundance of life promised by Jesus shall be ours by the grace of God.

Jesus said as recorded in John 14:30 that ‘the prince of this world will come and will not have power to wield over me’. So shall it be concerning you and me; the efforts of shortchangers, efforts of spiritual robbers who may want to rob us of things that are valuable and precious to us in this tail end of the year will fail; they will meet their Waterloo at our instance in the name of Jesus.

However, as written in 2 Corinthians 2:11, “lest the devil take advantage of us, we should not be ignorant of his devices.” May we be wiser than the devil in all his antics and his nefarious games against us in the name of Jesus.

See you soon in the new year by His grace. God bless you. SHALOM.
