Text: Psalms 124, 146:1-2.

As we embark on another 40 days P&F/Lenten season today, it must be with appreciation to God for having guided and guarded us safely through a whole one years unscathed. The Psalmist captions this right in Psalm 124, saying, “If it had not been the LORD who was on our side…” the LORD who had been on our side amid many difficult and challenging situations we have travailed through, in the midst trouble and turbulent waters we have waded through without being submerged.

Some would take this for granted as we humans always do concerning the good deeds of God for us, many of which are unseen and unknown. But people of God, let this not be case concerning you and me. Let’s always remember as written in Acts 17:28, that it is “in Him we live, move and have our being.” Let our hearts be filled with appreciation and gratitude to God as we bring our minds to bear on the song in Psalm 146:1&2 – “Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul! While I live, I will praise the LORD; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.”

As we start this exercise with attitude of gratitude and appreciation, I pray, this act will provoke heaven’s blessings to come down upon us in an unusual manner that there will not room to contain them. May we all have a life-changing, life-transforming and soul- refreshing time. Amen.

God bless you. SHALOM.
